We'd therefore like to encourage you to participate in as many of these great events as possible!

Chinese New Year 13th – 14th Feb . The Melbourne FCA 2010 - Year of the Tiger - Chinese New Year Festival will feature traditional and contemporary Chinese cultural activities, festivities, dances, Chinese opera and singing, karaoke competition, numerous stalls of culinary delights, arts and crafts, Chinese chess competitions, lion dances, dragon parades, calligraphy and children's events.

Sustainable Living Festival 19th – 21st Feb. The Main Event at Federation Square in the heart of Melbourne will continue to celebrate the very best examples of ecological and social sustainability. The event will fuse interactive workshops, talks, demonstrations, artworks, exhibits, films and live performances.

Melbourne Summer Cycle 21st Feb. Feel the warm summer sunshine on your back as you pedal 40km through the City of Melbourne, taking in the unique view of Melbourne while crossing the West Gate Bridge and enjoying the fresh ocean breeze of Port Melbourne and Williamstown with a course completion in Carlton North. Funds raised go to support people living with multiple sclerosis.

Moomba Waterfest 5th – 8th March. One of Melbourne's favourite annual celebrations, Moomba provides fun and excitement for the whole family. 2010 is Moomba's 55th birthday! Bring the family along to enjoy a free program of music, sport, entertainment, activities and spectacular fireshows. See the thrills and spills of the Moomba carnival all from the banks of the Yarra.

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 15th – 22nd March. Australia’s internationally acclaimed celebration of food and wine. Each year in March, fun-seeking foodies make the hungry journey to Melbourne Food and Wine Festival to experience a world of gastronomy and wine. This Festival, a new wave of global chefs and winemakers are trailblazing their way here for the best foodie experience on earth.

L’oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 15th – 22nd March. The L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival showcases the best of Victoria’s fashion, retail and creative sectors.

Great Amazing Race 28th Aug. Uplift Events is proud to present Melbourne with the 2010 Great Amazing Race. The event is proudly supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, and will combine elements from the Amazing Race, Great Melbourne Pursuit and orienteering into one exciting urban adventure.
