Match Funding

Many workplaces have programs where they will match funds raised by their staff for charity. Even if your workplace does not have one of these programs in place they may be happy to do it for you in this instance - herby they are encouraging their staff to raise money for a great cause and it looks good for them too!

Who to ask

Speak to HR or your Corporate Social Responsibility department and ask them if your company matches funds raised by employees or has a program in place to donate a certain amount to charitable causes supported by employees.

How to ask

It’s best to ask in person, put your case together and empahasise the importance of the cause and the benefits that donating will have for the organisation – corporate social responsibility.  If it’s not possible to do it in person send an email to the relevant person, state your case and insert a link to your team home page.

Offer to put the company logo on your team profile page so that everyone can see that the company is supporting their employees raising money for charity.

How we can help

-    On request we can send through a presentation on the Burnet Institute’s work and what funds raised will go towards.
-    On request we can send a letter of thanks and a certificate of appreciation following the event.
