A family cause

Years ago, Christine Pham lost her grandmother to breast cancer. Like many family members of cancer victims, she looked on helplessly, as the deadly disease consumed her loved one.  Today, she is putting her hand up to fight it.

“When I found out that the Burnet Institute is currently working towards a vaccine for cancer, I thought the Romp would be a great way to help raise money for a good cause and have fun at the same time,” she says.

Excitedly, she called on a group of great family and friends and The Justice League of Melbourne was born.

“We’ve also informed all our family, friends, colleagues and business clients to gain their sponsorship and support in this charity event.”

Christine thought she’d warm up a bit with the Week 3 Virtual Romp challenge and was ecstatic to have won a pair of Keen shoes, a $100 Myer gift voucher, 2 Pro Arte concert tickets and a 'Go for your life' sports kit!

So there we have it. By day, they’re a group of ordinary, independent new-age gals. By night, they indulge in shopping; a jog in the park; quite a bit of philosophical contemplation and really, just all that life has to offer. Come Romp day, The Justice League will don masks and capes to unleash some serious girl power. Most members being building surveyors by trade, this team can definitely depend on their superior knowledge of Melbourne’s buildings and landmarks to get ahead. Combine that with the superhuman strength, enhanced senses and problem solving powers of Wonder Woman, Cat Woman, Huntress and the like, this group of girls will soon be storming into a Melbourne city street near you.

What was that? Their true identities? Well, you’ll just have to join the Romp to find out!
