Step 2: Organise your transport

Regional Victoria

V/Line offer some great deals to get into the city - and without the hassle of parking in the city! Check out www.vline.com.au.

Don’t forget that all teams who travel from more than 100km to participate in Melbourne City Romp will go in the draw for a travel adventure from G.A.P. Adventures valued at $3000!* (see rules page for conditions).

Interstate

With 4 different airlines to choose from (Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Blue and Tiger Airways), it’s often possible to secure a one-way ticket from Brisbane to Melbourne for around $100.  So there’s no excuse not to make a weekend of it!  We’d recommend taking a long weekend and staying at least a couple of nights so that you can catch a show or footy match and get a bit more of a taste of beautiful Melbourne.

Upon arrival at Melbourne airport, you simply have to hop on board a Sky Bus that will get you into Southern Cross Train Station quicker than a cab and at a third of the cost ($16 one way ticket). Public Buses are also available.

Don’t forget that all teams who participate in both Brisbane City Romp on 21 September and Melbourne City Romp on 19 October, go in the draw for a Myer Shopping Spree worth $5,000!* (see prizes page for conditions).

So become a fully fledged Romper and enter both Romps, Burnet will be doubly thankful for your support.
