Come and join our Romp Posse and be rewarded with a memorable volunteering experience working as part of the 2010 Melbourne City Romp team!
Learn more about our wonderful city, support your community and the Burnet Institute, and get involved in an exciting, unique event.
With up to 20,000 participants expected to take part on Romp Day on 21 March 2010, we will be recruiting 500+ enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help us in a range of roles pre-event and On the Day.
Pre-event roles include:
• assistance with direct marketing
• putting together Romp registration packs
• detailed research assistance
• event, marketing and volunteer management support for the Romp HQ staff at Burnet
On Romp Day roles are very varied but include:
• customer service support at our start/finish location
• Romp Checkpoint staff
• sales assistance
• Romp information – handling public enquiries
• photography
• transport/courier support
• providing entertainment
• general assistance
• data analysis
As a volunteer you will receive:
• A fantastic fun day with hundreds of other motivated and enthusiastic volunteers
• A Romp volunteer t-shirt
• Lunch
• Training for your role
• An official Certificate of Appreciation (or reference)
• An invitation to our post-event volunteer party
• The lovely warm and fuzzy feelings associated with helping a great cause!

The more volunteers the merrier! If you want to volunteer with some mates, just get them to sign up on this page and then contact our Volunteer Coordinator Louise at volunteer@cityromp.com who will do her best to make sure you're together on the day.

Volunteering for the Romp is a great way to spend a fun day with friends.
If you’d like to volunteer with friends, please enter their names here. Then ask them to sign up as a volunteer too.
We’ll then do our best to make sure that you’re given jobs where you can volunteer together.
The Romp needs lots of help from our great volunteers both on the day and in the lead up to the event.
