Volunteers

The 'Go for your life' Melbourne City Romp is an exciting event and concept that is unique to the Burnet Institute. The Romp is set to have a fantastic second year in Melbourne and we could not run it without the help of our fantastic Romp Posse of volunteers!

The Romp is a fabulous way to get involved in supporting the community by helping the Burnet to build a healthy world.

The Romp will give you the opportunity to learn more about our wonderful city - volunteer with your friends and have fun.

This year the volunteer Romp Posse will consist of about 500 dedicated volunteers in a variety of roles from working in customer service, sales, information, photography, transport/courier roles, providing entertainment and getting the crowd warmed up, to assisting the event staff and providing all round help.

We also need several volunteers to help us out prior to Romp day with advertising the event, putting together Romp registration packs and other similar roles, so if this sounds interesting to you and you can spare some extra time before the event please let us know.

As a volunteer you will receive:

  • A Romp volunteer t-shirt
  • Lunch
  • Training for your role
  • A certificate of appreciation (or reference)
  • An invitation to our post-event volunteer party
  • And a Romp Goodie bag!

The Romp is about getting together in teams with friends, family and colleagues and exploring our beautiful city in a healthy way, so why not get your friends or colleagues together in a volunteer team and make it a fun day out in the city.

The more volunteers the merrier! If you want to volunteer with some mates, just get them to sign up on this page and then contact our Volunteer Coordinator Grace who will do her best to make sure you're all together on the day.

Please take a minute to complete the following information, the more information you provide the easier it will be to find the role best suited to you.

If you have any specific questions about the event and your potential involvement, please email our Volunteer Coordinator Grace at volunteer@melbournecityromp.com or you can call her on 03 8506 2361.

Thanks again, we look forward to seeing you on Romp day 2008!
